AI Disclosure

Where artificial intelligence is used in this platform, what it can and cannot do, and how to avoid it.

We would rather over-explain this than have you discover it. This page describes every place the Commonstead platform uses artificial intelligence.

1. Where AI is used

Three places, and nowhere else:

  • Eve, the in-app assistant — answers questions, searches training and product content, summarizes records, and drafts text. Eve is labeled as an AI assistant everywhere it appears.
  • Outbound campaign replies — when someone replies to a business campaign email, a model helps sort the reply by intent (interested, not interested, out of office, unsubscribe request) so it reaches the right person quickly. Unsubscribe and opt-out requests are detected by fixed rules, not by a model, because that decision is too important to leave to a probability.
  • Drafting assistance — suggested text for messages and proposal sections, always presented as a draft for you to edit.

2. Where AI is not used

AI does not decide your commission, your compensation, your role, your permissions, or whether your account stays open. It does not price anything. It does not approve or deny an application. Those are human decisions and they stay that way.

This platform has no voice agent and records no phone calls. If you receive a call from an automated or AI voice claiming to represent The Commonstead, it did not come from this platform — please report it to us.

3. You will always know

AI features are labeled as AI at the point you use them, not only on this page. If you ask the assistant whether it is a human, it will tell you it is not. It will not claim to be a person under any circumstances.

You can always reach a human instead. Nothing in the platform requires you to talk to the assistant to get help.

4. Who processes the text

AI features are powered by large language models operated by Anthropic, reached directly or through OpenRouter as a routing layer. The text of your request, and the platform records needed to answer it, are sent to those providers for processing.

That content is not used to train their models. Providers are contractually limited to processing it in order to return a response.

5. It can be wrong

Language models produce fluent text that is sometimes confidently incorrect. Everything the assistant tells you — a number, a date, a policy detail, a product specification — should be verified before you act on it or send it to a customer.

AI output is not legal, tax, financial, or engineering advice, and it is not a savings estimate you can give a customer. A savings figure becomes something you can rely on only when it comes from a written proposal a person prepared and checked.

6. When the assistant can act

Some assistant features can take actions on your behalf — creating a record, drafting a message, navigating you somewhere. Every such action is presented to you for confirmation before it happens. The assistant does not send anything to a customer, and does not change a record, without you approving that specific action first.

7. Your choices

You are not required to use any AI feature. Every task the assistant helps with can be done directly in the platform.

If you would like your assistant conversation history deleted, ask us using the privacy contact in the Privacy Policy. Conversations are retained as described there.

8. Changes

If we add an AI feature, change what it can do, or change who processes the text, this page and its version date change with it. Material changes are announced in the platform before they take effect.
